Botham keen to play
NZPA-AAP Sydney The champion all-rounder, lan Botham, says he is ready to play for England in the bicentenary test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday, the “Australian” reported yesterday. The report said Botham was ready to join England if it wanted to call on his services in Australia. Botham is playing Sheffield Shield cricket for Queensland after telling the England selectors he was unavailale to tour with his national team. But he said through his manager he would be available for the oneoff test if asked.
