New Wine and Morning Wings, stablemates which are being prepared for Riccarton next week produced two of the sharpest gallops at the track yesterday. The work was largely on the No. 1 grass wide out. New Wine (Mein) ran a solo 800 m in 49.85, the last 600 m in 37.3 s while Morning Wings (Mein) came out later and ran a similar trip in 495. She was disappointing last time out but looks bright enough. Beks caught the eye running 1000 m with Grant Davison up in a comfortable 1:02.7; the closing 800 m in 50.35. The fastest gallop came late in the session when Invitane, an Inviting filly, trained by Tom Lalor, ran a solo 800 m in 48s (35.85) with Lorna Cook up. Other work included:
