Proprietor fined $700
PA Wellington A Wellington shop proprietor was fined $7OO for receiving biscuits he knew had been obtained dis honestly. In the Wellington District Court Aron Shteiman, aged 55, pleaded guilty to two charges of receiving the biscuits, 12 cartons on November 6 and afether six cartons between
November 6 and December 12. Judge von Dadelszen fined Shteiman $350 plus $55 court costs on each charge. Sergeant W. T. Jaques said the biscuits normally retailed for $25 a carton and Shteiman had bought them for between $lO and $l2 a carton so he could make a little extra money.
