Two suspicious fires cause minor damage
Two suspicious fires caused minor damage to two inner-city buildings early on Thursday. Paper was set alight and placed against the wall of a house about 2 a.m.
The house, at the corner of Churchill Street and Bealey Avenue, suffered slight charring. Ninety minutes later the Lily of the Valley
massage parlour in Kilmore Street was hit in an arson attack. Detective Senior-Ser-geant Colin Dalzell said a one-litre bottle of methylated spirits was thrown in the doorway and set
alight. Damage was again minimal. The police were still investigating the fires yesterday.
