Trackwork at Wingatui
PA Dunedin Art Banquet and Berber recorded good gallops at Wingatui yesterday morning in preparation for the Beaumont Racing Club’s meeting on the course on Saturday. The majority of gallops were on the inside grass which was firm.
The stablemates, Art Banquet and Berber, ran 800 m in 49.95, the last 600 m in 38s. Art Banquet won at Wingatui in August and she was recently placed at Rlccarton. She will be. ridden by her trainer, Leslie Didham, on Saturday. Fair Request, a laststart winner, and the
speedy Palm Bearer ran 1000 m in 1:03.2, the opening 400 m in 23.65. Pauleric and Duisburg ran 1200 m in 1:18.3, the last 800 m in 51.35. Billy Mac and Princess Tawfiq worked strongly from the 2000 m, taking 1:21 for the last 1200 m and 40.2 s for the last • 600 m. She’s Noble, Allez Era and Eminence were given a similar task and sprinted home in 395. Eminence has been bred with Noble Bijou. Allez Era Will be tried over a middle distance on Saturday.
Narrative and Double Acre did well to return
49s for 800 m on .the plough, the last 600 m in 37.55. Narrative had the worst of the weights by about 20kg. He is bright and robust to start a fresh campaign. All Robinson has the ride in the second leg of the T.A.B. double on Saturday. L
