PA Wellington The world champion triathlete, Erin Baker, is now an official ambassador for New Zealand kiwifruit, following the signing of a sponsorship deal worth SUSIO,OOO with the New Zealand Kiwifruit Authority for 1988. This announcement marks the authority’s first major involvement with
sports sponsorship as a means of promoting kiwifruit in overseas markets; says Simon Caughey, the authority’s chief executive officer. ; : — “We aim to be involved in controUed sponsorship deals, which serve as an efficient promotional tool in raising the awareness of kiwifruit to consumers overseas.” - .
