Norman, Devoy ranked top again

Ross Norman and Susan Devoy head the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association’s national ranking lists for yet another year. In both the men’s and women’s lists the top four places are filled by the members of the teams which represented New Zealand in the world championships, in London and Auckland respectively. Back in the men's rankings, at No. 5, is Bay of Plenty’s Danny McQueen after a steady season, while the Aucklander, Scott Harrison, is deservedly rated No. 9 after being similarly unranked last year. Only one Canterbury player, Paul Viggers, is ranked in either list and he has slipped another couple of places to No. 8. Juniors figure well in the women’s rankings, including Marie Pearson (Auckland), fifth, and Debra Shaw (Northland), tenth. Dianne Ellis, of Invercargill, already naqed New Zealand’s most Improved female player, is in the rankings for the first time in sixteenth position.
