FIGURE SKATING
Japanese International The world champions, Natalia Bestemianova and Andrei Bukin, of the Soviet Union, won the ice dancing title with 1.2 points in an international figure skating competition at Kushiro. Bestemianova and Bukin, who won the world ice dancing title for the third straight time last March, drew three perfect marks from the nine judges in technique and four more perfect marks for their artistic performance. Their compatriots, Svetlana Liapina and Georgy Sur, placed second with 2.4 points. Another world champion, Katarina Witt, won the women’s singles and Christopher Bowman, of the United States, won the men’s title. Elena Lenova and Gennady Krasnitsky, of the Soviet Union, won the pairs events.
