England unhappy
NZPA-Reuter Lahore, Pakistan Pakistan has named another controversial umpire, Shakoor Rana, for the second test against England starting in Faisalabad on December 7. Although no fresh protests have been made, the England side is unhappy with the way in which the Pakistan cricket board has named umpires, Rana and Khizar Hayat. Rana, not on the World Cup panel, was one of the
umpires when six England; batsmen were given out' leg before in the first innings of the 1978 test; against Pakistan. ' In Lahore 1982, the Australian fast bowler,» Jeff Thomson, kicked; down the stumps after being repeatedly no; balled by Rana and in Karachi in 1985, New Zealand walked off after.
