Project release 4.0
Brimaur Computer Services, New Zealand distributor for Microsoft, has announced a major update to the project management package, Microsoft Project. Enhanced with plotter support, customs reports, resource levelling, new activity relationships, data filtering and a variety of other features, Project Version 4.0 offers a complete set of project management features. Microsoft Project now supports the full line of Hewlett-Packard and other major plotter manufacturers, and all paper sizes from A to E. In addition to the preformatted reports available in the previous version, 4.0 features custom reports. These allow users to create a report format, view it on the screen, and save it as a standard for regularly recurring reports. The resource level included in 4.9 automatically resolves resource conflicts. It balances workloads and adjusts resource assignments within available float time without changing the project’s completion date. The suggested’ retail price is $950 plus GST. Registered users of earlier versions can upgrade to 4.0 for $235 plus GST.
