An “Australian” hero
The Australian Prime Minister, Mr Bob Hawke, has described Paxus Financial Systems, a company wholly owned by Paxus Information Services Group, as one of Australia’s “national heroes” in a recent export award presentation. Mr Hawke was speaking at the twenty-fifth Australian annual export qwards at which Paxus Financial Systems hnd five other companies received awards for their export initiatives. Paxus Financial Systems is the larg-
est supplier of integrated software to the insurance market outside of North America. The company was acquired by NZI Corporation in 1980 as part of its moves to develop computerisation in the insurance industry.
Since that time, the Paxus Group has become a major subsidiary of NZI, based in New Zealand, but with more than two-thirds of its revenues derived from overseas activities.
