Telecom accounts

Sir,—lt is pleasing to read in Mr Hastle’s letter (November 17) that our customers appreciate the inclusion of freepost envelopes with telephone accounts. The freepost system was introduced for the benefit of Telecom customers, i.e., for their convenience and because it enables Telecom to minimise overheads and hence the cost of services to our customers. A new envelope is being printed; large enough to take an unfolded personal cheque and also with a note indicating that a stamp is not required. — Yours, etc., B. W. FINN, District Manager, Telecom. November 18,1987.
