Mining
Sir,—l am intrigued that Guy Salmon is quoted (“The Press" November 18) as saying that mining Is the only Industry which can carry out operations on other people’s land without the land owner’s consent. I understood that the organisation which employs him, the Native Forest Action Council, is seeking to promote legislation which would prevent private land owners from using the native trees growing on their own properties. — Yours, etc., P.
