Canterbury swimmers, always top performers in the national teleprinter age-group swimming competition, should be to the fore when the 1987 finals are held in two weeks. Amy Bryce (New Brighton) also performed well in the age-group, finishing in the top three in four events. Delias Hibbs (New Brighton), a brother of Sean,-had tbrbe fastest qualifying times in the boys 10 and U year* age-group, and a second to Nicholas Woods (New Brighton) in the backstroke. Nigel Cox (Wharenul) also swam well in the age-group, and was rewarded with the fastest qualifying time in th* breaststroke and (he second fastest time In three other events. Kirqten Tltherldge (Wharenul), Hayley Perrin (Wharenul) and Heather McCutcheon (New Brighton) were all consistent performers in the girls |0 and 11 yearn age-group.
