Office opened
State Insurance’s seventh district office in Christchurch was opened at Hornby yesterday. The office is in a building which began as a post office in 1955, then was used by the Department of Social Welfare until it was bought by State Insurance in 1986. The refurbished building provided a pleasant environment for both the public and those who would work in the office, said the member of Parliament for Yaldhurst, • Mrs Austin, who officially opened the office. State Insurance had successfully exploited the district office idea, and the new Hornby office would be a useful adjunct . for everyone doing business in the area, she said.
