No agreement on Crown asset value
PA Wellington A decision on the value of the Crown’s assets being transferred to Electricorp had not been reached between the corporation and the Treasury at midday yesterday, the “Evening Post” reported. The deadline, yesterday, was imposed by the Minister of Finance, Mr Douglas, and the Minister
of State-owned Enterprises, Mr Prebble. Meetings between the two parties have continued this week, as well as last week-end, to try to resolve the matter, but the parties were "not close” on fixing a value on the assets, said Electricorp’s corporate relations manager, Dr Judith Aitken.
