UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO MANAGER - SOCIAL CENTRE THE SOCIAL CENTRE servicing the University of Waikato/Hamilton Teachers’ College Campus has a vacancy for a Manager. This is a salaried position and the appointee will be expected to take responsibility for the management of the centre and work such hours as may be required. The Social Centre is directed by a Student Union Services Management Board and has general facilities as well as two catering outlets, the restaurant Oranga and a cafeteria in the Student Union Building. The daytime catering for students has a turnover of over §350,000 per annum. There are also special functions for other clients with current turnover approaching $200,000. The business for both daytime student catering and special functions is expected to keep increasing. Applicants should have successful experience in the hospitality catering and special functions trade, supplies, and management.
