The Prizes
The competition organising committee gratefully acknowledges the support of the following companies in providing prizes for both the highest net return awards and for the grain quality award. First Prize, tile 1.C.1. Wheat Growing Award which is awarded to the competitor showing the highest net return from the plot.
A sum of $7OOO donated by 1.C.1. Rural Division in the form of a round-the-world air ticket with spending money to enable the winner to study arable
farming in the ' United Kingdom and Europe. Second Prize, awarded to the competitor with the second highest net profit from the plot. An amount of 1.75 tonnes of Cropmaster 15 fertiliser donated by Ravensdown Fertiliser Cooperative, Ltd. The Grain Quality Award. This award consists of a cash prize of $lOOO donated jointly by D. H. Brown and Son, Limited, and New Zealand Cereal Foods, Limited, and a trophy donated by the New Zealand Association of Bakers Inc.
