PA Wellington When Parliament resumed yesterday at 2 p.m. one petition was presented. The petition, from Christina Rhodes, of Napier, and 3089 others asked that because of the increase in violence the House take immediate steps to reintroduce capital punishment for appropriate crimes. Ministers answered 20 questions. Mr G. B. Braybrooke (Labour, Napier) presented the report of the Communications and Road Safety Select Committee on the Auckland Airport Bill. The report passed by 50 votes to 33 and the bill was set down for a second reading. Members then resumed the Address-in-Reply debate. The debate was interrupted when the House adjourned for dinner at 5.30 p.m. The House resumed sitting at 7.30 p.m. The debate was Interrupted when the House rose at 10.30 p.m.
