Mr David McConachie has been appointed the deputy general manager of Westpac Banking Corporation’s New Zealand division. He joined the bank in Wellington in 1955, and returns to New Zealand after 23 years In overseas postings. Mr McConachie will replace Mr Barry Horsnell, who retires in December.
