Equiticorp Holdings has received 7.9 per cent acceptances from Guinness Peat Group shareholders, bringing its total ownership of the merchant banking group to 58.6 per cent Acceptances totalling 24.9 million ordinary shares had been received by October 3, the closing date for its 115 p a share offer for Guinness Peat And Equiticorp Industries, a subsidiary of Equiticorp Holdings, has increased its stake in diversified carpet manufacturer Feltex International by 1.2 per cent to 53.2 per cent Equiticorp bought 1,809,000 ordinary Feltex shares at an average price of 430 c, the company said. Equiticorp said last week it intends to take its Feltex stake to 60 per cent
