Dennis Clarke and lan Smalley overcame the windy conditions to shoot par 73s and tie for first place in the Weedons proam golf tournament yesterday. Clarke, of New Plymouth, and Smalley, of Auckland, shared first and second prize money in the $5OOO event They finished two strokes ahead of Gary Parkinson (Auckland), with Geoff Clarke (Alexandra) a further shot back on 76.
