Handcuff policy
British Airways passengers who become violent or unruUy will be handcuffed in future. The airline had ordered thousands of pairs of plastic handcuffs after cabin crew complained that violent behaviour had increased and they were being physically and verbally abused, especially on charter flights. A spokesman said that restraints used by other airlines ranged from metal handcuffs and strait jackets to coshes and strong adhesive tape. — London.
