Peate Cup to Batey
Toni Batey, of Harewood, narrowly beat Rachael Hoyle (Russley) to win the Peate Cup Canterbury junior golf championship at Harewood. Batey won on a countback after both golfters scored 73 on the par-71 course. Kerryn Starr and Rebecca Prescott both scored 74. Starr took the third slot, after a countback.
