Spreydon flood risks
North-west Spreydon ratepayers’ comments about flooding hazards in Harker, Neville and Edinburgh streets have prompted the Christchurch Drainage Board’s development and construction committee to seek action. Residents want a decision on flood control measures for the area. The committee plans to write to the Heathcote
Catchment Planning Advisory Group seeking an assurance that delays and difficulties stopping a decision will be resolved by March 31. If they are not, the board plans to write to the members of the authorities involved. A board member, Mr Rex Arbuckle, said the board was concerned abour the lack of progress.
