Crown case nears end in trial
The Crown case in the murder trial before Mr Justice Williamson in the High Court will finish to.day. ft, Wayne /• Pohutufiutu, aged 22, unemployed/ has pleaded not guilty to murdering Michael James Dowling, aged 28, who was kicked, stomped and battered to death on March 6. The trial began on September 14, and now may go into next week. Messrs Brent Stanaway and Mark Zarifeh appear for the Crown, and Mrs Judith Ablett-Kerr and Mr Diccon .;Sim, both of Dunedin, for Pohutuhutu.
