Injured man airlifted
A Christchurch man with a sprained ankle was airlifted from Plateau hut at Mount Cook yesterday morning. Mr Richard Scowen, aged 22, injured his ankle white ski-ing with a companion on the Grand Pla-
teau in the Tasman Valley on Sunday. A park ranger, Mr Ray Bellringer, said Mr Scowen remained in the Plateau, hut for Sunday and Monday evenings waiting tor the weather <o clear,- before being airlifted out by helicopter.
