Tour to educate travel agents
The number of American tourists visiting Canterbury could increase as
much as 20 per cent during the next year, says the Canterbury Promotion Council.
A tour by 130 American travel agents to New Zealand could have a spin-off
effect of hundreds of American tourists visiting New Zealand.
The visit, organised by the New Zealand Tourist and Publicity Department and Discover New Zea-
land ’B7, is to familiarise the agents with New Zealand’s attractions.
