A.W.A. New Zealand’s research and development facilities at Porirua, near Wellington, are staffed by experienced engineers who, over the last 20 years, have built up an impressive record of designing specialised V.H.F. and U.H.F. fixed and mobile radio telephone equipment for various Government departments and professional users world wide. All the company’s products are designed for international markets to comply with relevant
European, North Amerian, Australian and New Zealand specifications and approvals. A.W.A. engineers have also developed and installed a wide range of microprocessor-based, automatic weighing and grading systems for material handling in the meat and horticultural industries. A.W.A.’s well-equipped drawing office provides detailed drawings of all materials and components giving effective control over all subcontract processes. A powerful inhouse computer-aided design system ensures 100 per cent accuracy between printed circuit board layouts, circuit diagrams and parts lists.
The production of high quality technical manuals is an integral part of any new product design and A.W.A. has editing staff who work closely with design, production -and service personnel throughout the company.
A.W.A.’s software capabilities were originally developed to provide computer-operated weighing and grading systems to the meat and horticultural industries.
