$IM goal for appeal
PA Wellington The Save the Children Fund aims to raise $1 million during its appeal week this month, says the fund’s president, Mrs Betty Pearson. The International Year of the Homeless is the theme of this year’s appeal, which will run from September 20 to 26. Funds will go to projects in Africa, Fiji, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Morocco. Last year’s appeal raised about $750,000.
