Four women’s hoekey tests in Chch
By KEVIN TUTTY South Korea, the most improved international team in women’s hockey in recent years will play four tests against New Zealand in Christchurch in December. Korea will be in Christchurch, from December 5 to 25 to train on the artificial turf at Porritt Park as part of its preparation for the Seoul Olympics next year. ; The New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association’s council, which met in Wellington at the weekend confirmed the dates of the test matches as December 19, 20, 22 and 23.
South Korea beat New Zealand, 8-1, at the Champions tournament in Amsterdam last month. The South Korean association has asked that the team be based in one centre during its stay in New Zealand and because the team will fly . into Christchurch it was the logical place for the team
