Christchurch Teachers College student in Cotombo Street at lunchtime yesterday on a protesr march over pay rates. The striking students, numbering about 500, were marching from cathedral square tothe Department of Education in Victoria Street. Yesterday's march was part of a 24-hours nationwide strike. The trainees say that their pay should be on a par with other first-year Government trainees.
