Snooker championship
The Canterbury Working Men’s Club snooker pairs championship has attracted a field of 36 teams. Included are the South Island champions, Lew Adams and Doug Henderson (Shirley), who will face stiff competition from the likes of
Stan and Mick Maffey (Woolston) and Peter de Groot and John Knegt (Richmond). The tournament will start today at the Hoon Hay club and conclude tomorrow afternoon.
