PA Auckland Shane Cooper, the 1986 Kiwi, has been- called in to stand by for the injured Ron O’Regan when the New Zealand rugby league team to visit Australia next month assembles in Auckland today. O’Regan’s tom shoulder ligaments could keep him
out of the tour and are causing some concern to the national selectors, who met yesterday. O’Regan’s fitness will be determined’ today. Meanwhile, the selectors have named Dean Bell as captain if O’Regan has to withdraw. In that event, Cooper will become vice-captain.
