High gymnastic scores;
Talent was abundant at the Canterbury rhythmic gymnastic championships in Christchurch during the week-end. Angela Walker was the only national title-holder not competing. There was an exceptionally high standard of competition. High-nine scores were common. In the international grade, Raewyn Jack scored 37.6, and averaged above nine in all her
exercises. Catherine Hughes won the girls A section.
