St Bede’s unbeaten
St Bede’s College turned on a compelling performance to beat Christchurch Boys’ High School, 16-3, in a school first XV championship match played at the St Bede’s ground on Saturday.
St Bede’s remains unbeaten in the championship, with two wins and a draw, but Boys’ High School heads the table at this stage with three wins from four matches. Each side plays six games. Scorers from the latest round: St Bede’s College 16 (Paul Taylor, Edward Sparrow tries; Craig Forsyth conversion, two penalty goals) Christchurch Boys’ High School 3 (Glenn Davis penalty goal). St Andrew's College 12 (Brendon Charteris try; Lewis Thompson conversion, two penalty goals) Christ’s College 6 (Jamie Ruwhiu two penalty goals).
