A single point separates the A-grade inter-club badminton leader, A.N.Z., from its nearest rival, Bryndwr Y.M.C.A., after nine competition rounds. A.N.Z. has 93 points and Bryndwr Y.M.C.A. 92. Each has one competition round remaining. In the latest round, Bryndwr Y.M.C.A. easily beat South Brighton, 8-0. The wily Neil Barnes reluctantly conceded his match against the division one representative, Mark Chambers, after a marathon three-game match.
