Fund now at $93,000
Total funds for the Adrienne Mackwell Medical Trust now stand at $93,000, according to the trust’s publicity officer, Mr Lawson Little, yesterday. The trust hoped to raise $120,000 by June 7, he said. A community games day organised by the Hoon Hay Working Men’s Club today would give the
fund a real boost, he said. The day would include round robin competitions, indoor bowls, snooker,, and bar and food facilities. It was hoped that Mrs Mackwell would also make a brief appearance. The appeal is to raise money to send Mrs Markwell to St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney for a heart transplant.
