Dumping duties imposed
PA Dumping /duties on aluminium foil imported by the Australian company, Leigh Mardon Pty, Ltd, were announced by the Minister of Customs, Mrs Shields.
The duties have been imposed after a Customs investigation after a dumping complaint by U.E.B. Packaging, Ltd, against aluminium foil imports from Leigh Mardon last October. Mrs Shields said there
was evidence of “material injury to the New Zealand industry and a causal link between the dumping and the material injury." The duties would be reviewed in two years, dr earlier if evidence supported its need.
