Highland dancing results

About 111 dancers from throughout Canterbury and Hokitika took their highland dancing and national step dancing examinations in Christchurch recently. The tests are conducted at centres throughout New Zealand by the New Zealand Academy of Highland and National Dancing, and for a number of years Christchurch has had the biggest number of candidates.

The examiner at the centre, Mrs S. J. Hall, of Palmerston North, said she was impressed with the numbers entered in each grade.
