CFC earns $6 million
Consumer Finance Corporation, Ltd (CFC), owned jointly by Feltex International, Ltd and Fisher and Paykel Industries, Ltd, announced the result for its first full year of operation to March 31. During the year the company earned an audited tax-paid profit from trading of S6M. The trading profit was before deducting an extraordinary item of SO.2M. This arose from the impact of increased company tax rates on CFC’s deferred taxation liability. As CFC commenced operating on October 1, 1985 there is no comparative 12 month profit figure provided. Returns for the company’s first six months of operation to March 31, 1986, in which the company earned a profit of S2M, have been annualised for comparative purposes.
