Mobil Song Quest
Sir,—Your report (May 2) relating to the announcement of the semi-finalists for the 1987
Mobil Song Quest incorrectly quoted me as stating that the standard of the over-all entrants this year was the highest for some time. In fact, I referred only to the standard of the 12 semi-finalists. This misquote has caused embarrassment. As co-, organiser of the quest, I appear from your report to be making comments contrary to the thoughts of the panel of three judges. — Yours, etc., BRUCE CHANDLER. May 4, 1987. [The error is acknowledged.— Editor.]
