Anzac badminton
Twelve players will line up in both the men’s and women’s, singles with the Anzac badminton tournament is contested at Skellerup Hall over the next two days. Both events will be played as round robins to give players maximum games. The title-holder, Graham Sercombe, is the top seed in the men’s
singles, followed by Mark Chambers and Neil Barns. Obviously Sercombe will have to produce better form to retain this title after being beaten in straight games by the talented, young John Fletcher in inter-club play earlier this week. Lyndal Smith, Megan Williams and Elizabeth Henson head the women’s seedings, in that order.
