“The Competition”

Once Thunder said to Lightning, “I’m much louder than you are.” “Sure, sure,” said lightning, "but everyone sees me.”
‘Everyone HEARS me. I’ll give you a competition,” said Thunder.
“You’re on!!” The next day they met. This was it. Thunder said, “I’ll bet you I can make the people in that house come outside.” He went right over the house and grumbled as loudly as he could. The people came running out, wondering what had happened.
“See!!” said Thunder proudly. “Hmmph!” snorted Lighting. “I bet you I could make them come out by shooting down that
While he was lining up the tree in his sights, Thunder’s father, Rainstorm, came along. He started a storm. Lightning shot at the tree. It fell over but no-one came out because of the rain. So Thunder won. He was put down in history first and now when history plays its music, Thunder always comes before Lightning.
