‘The Enormous Crocodile’
By
Mark Lotham,
aged 8, of Prebbleton. One day a crocodile was watching some children playing on their motorbikes, but a big boy, aged about 14, jumped and landed on the ground. He struggled to get up but the motorbike was so heavy that he could not get it off.
It was the crocodile’s chance to have his lunch. He rushed to the motorbike track but when the other boys saw him they got the guy under the motorbike and zoomed away on their motorbikes. “Drat,“ he said, “I’ll go to the school.” So he went to the school. He got a piece of wood. He put it
on his tail and tucked his head under his tail. When the bell rang all the children rushed to the see-saw. One girl got on one end a boy got on the other end. But soon the bell rang and the children ran off. So the crocodile slowly moved away to his home and had a nap.
