Knife thrown at man

A New Zealand tourist was injured in northern Penang State when an unidentified man hurled a 10cm knife at him, the police said yesterday.
Meyrick Flight, aged 21, was walking back to his hotel when he was struck
in his back by the knife which was thrown by a motor-cycle pillion rider. Mr Flight, a tyre fitter employed in Sydney, was hospitalised. The police said his injury was not serious. He had planned to leave for Thailand before the incident, the police said.
