Aquafast Snap-on hose fittings
The full range of PDL Aquafast Snap-on hose fittings has received Design Awards. These are the M 24 hose set, M 33 Yvalve fitting, M 35 spraynozzle set, M4O adaptor, M 44 tap fitting, M46FF free-flow hose coupling, M47SF stop-valve hose coupling, M4B hose mender, M5O hose-exten-sion coupling and M5l three-way connector. The Snap-on fittings are designed to be compatible with internationally standard Snap-on fittings. Careful design has minimised the number of parts while providing a system which is simple to assemble, giving positive locking and ease of operation. To fit the coupling to a hose, the coupling nut is positioned along the hose before sliding the hose end on to the coupling body. The nut is then screwed to the coupling body, compressing a number of flexible finers on to the hose, holding it firmly in position. The couplings simply snap on to accessories and are held by a spring clip fitted within the coupling. Rubber O rings seal the couplings, giving drip-free operation. Every product in the PDL range of sprinklers, sprayers and accessories, and Aquafast Snap-on fittings now also has the Designmark. Many had received it in the past, and the balance were awarded it this year. The sprayers and sprinklers are offered to suit a wide range of applications from fine, gentle sprayers to heavier, broadly distributed droplets. The hand-held sprayers offer a diversity of options including fine spray, soft shower, jet spray, ad-
justable spray, flow control, trigger-operated, and wand extension. Accessories include replacement sprinkler attachments, hose fittings, Y-connectors and valve connectors.
