Canterbury Timber Products, Ltd, has been awarded the Designmark for a development of its range of mouldings machined from medium density fibreboard (MDF) Customwood panels, which have been bonded with melamineurea formaldehyde resins (MUF).
Customwood MUF has the advantage in that it maintains very low thick-
ness swell when subject to wetting. It is, therefore, better suited for use in areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, than the present range. Standard profiles are bevel, bull nose, square dressed, pencil round, double level, bungalow, scotia, bevelled cornice, colonial and quadrant. Lengths are 4.8 m to 5.1 m. All mouldings are sanded, ready for finishing.
