Unix pair
Mr lan Howard, the president of the New Zealand Unix Systems User Group, has joined the New Zealand based Rakon Group to comanage the newly formed Rakon Independent Software Division. His comanager in the division will be Mr Roger Hicks, the past president of the user group.
The pair will be concentrating their initial activities on Unix-based software products such as the Uniplex II plus office automation system and a new implementation of Unix System V by Microport.
