Fun run venue change
A fun run for women round Hagley Park planned for tomorrow will now start at 10.15 a.m. from South Hagley Park near the Blenheim Road roundabout The Y.W.C.A.’s annual run was to have started from North Hagley Park near the Armagh Street bridge at 10 a.m., but organisers discovered yesterday that this clashed with a planned scouting regatta on the Avon River near the same area. Two courses will still be held, but will both be held round South Hagley Park.
Runners on the shorter course will run one lap of the park, and those on the longer course, two laps.
A free creche will be available.
The entry fee for adults is $1 and for children, 50c.
